Where the Muse is located
The Moo Bay Muse is located in the Daintree Rainforest at Cow Bay and backs onto World Heritage listed National Park. Cow Bay is a 2 hour drive North of Cairns airport and a 1 hour drive North of Port Douglas. The drive north involves crossing the Daintree River on a car ferry. Cow Bay beach is a 15 - 20 minute walk from the cottage via a dirt road and the closest shop is a 25 minute drive to the north.

The Daintree Rainforest is one of the oldest remaining rainforest remnants in the world and remains relatively unspoilt despite the increasing pressures of encroaching civilization. It is home to thousands of plant species and is alive with a diverse selection of native fauna including the Cassowary. Cassowaries, Rainforest monitors and Lizards, several types of Tree Frogs as well as many species of birds live in the forest that surrounds the Muse.

The closest township to the Moo Bay Muse is Cape Tribulation approximately a 35 minute drive to the North. At Cape Tribulation there is a small supermarket and a chemist as well as several restaurants, tour operators and resorts. An hours drive to the South is Mossman and Port Douglas.
